Video to DVD or USB Transfer Service

Many people have old video tapes at home. Family holidays, Christmases long ago or weddings – the problem is being able to play them these days. We can help!
We can copy various video formats onto hard drive, then put them onto DVD or you.

If you do not have a DVD player we can transfer to a USB stick. The only proviso with USB transfer is we will need to know what it is likely to be played on, as some systems will not recognise the file format.

Video tapes we can transfer are VHS, VHS-C, 8mm, Hi-8, Mini DV and mini DVD. In all cases we will edit out the parts that are blank, although we would not be able edit extensively.

When booking in tapes we will examine them to see if they are damaged or are suffering from fungus. If tapes are damaged in any way we would not be able to transfer them as this could damage our equipment.

DVD’s are compatible with DVD-R players.

With a transfer to USB the format suppled is MPEG4. These can be used for storing, streaming, editing and viewing on a smart TV computer or laptop.
