Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions govern the use of our services and website for trade with the Island Photo Community Hub

They apply to both in-store and online customers. By using our services you agree to be bound by these terms.

  1. About us
    Island Photo Community Hub provides photo printing, passport and ID photos, photocopying, video to DVD/USB transfer, photo restoration and archival scanning and digital camera sensor cleaning.

  2. Services
    We provide the following services, but not exclusively only these services. Other services may be provided at another time.
    Photo printing, passport and ID photography, photo scanning and restoration, photocopying and document scanning, video to DVD/USB transfer, camera sensor cleaning.
    All services are subject to availability and may be modified or discontinued without prior notice
  3. Orders and payments
    3.1 Pricing. All prices are displayed in pounds sterling (GBP) and include VAT where applicable unless stated otherwise. Prices may change without notice.
    3.2 Payment. Payment is required at the time of order unless otherwise agreed. We accept cash, card and online card payments as displayed in-store and online.
    3.3 Online orders. For online orders, customers are responsible for providing correct details for address and contact information. Customers shall not upload illegal, disrespectful or otherwise offensive pictures for printing.
    3.4 Cancellations. Orders may only be cancelled before processing has begun. Once processing has started cancellations may not be possible.
  4. Customer responsibilities
    You agree to: Provide accurate and complete information.
    Ensure you have the legal right to reproduce any material you submit
    Check proofs and previews where provided
    Collect completed orders within 30 days unless otherwise agreed. Uncollected items may be disposed of after reasonable notice (6 months, after 3 reminders/attempts to contact)
  5. Intellectual property and copyright
    You confirm that you own or have permission to use and reproduce all materials provided to us. We are not responsible for copyright infringements arising from content provided by the customer, with the customer entirely liable for any damages to copyright/intellectual property owners as a result of legal action due to copyright infringement. We reserve the right to refuse orders that we believe may violate UK copyright laws or intellectual property/trademarks. By submitting any images, photographic prints or other media for any services provided by the Island Photo Community Hub you agree to indemnify Island Photo Community Hub against any damages, along with being liable for any costs incurred, including all legal fees, by the Island Photo Community Hub in defending any claim for copyright infringement.
  6. Quality and satisfaction
    We aim to provide high quality services. If you are not satisfied with a service, please notify us within 7 days of collection.
    We will, at our discretion: Reprint or redo the service, or provide a refund or partial refund. This does not affect your statutory rights under UK law.
  7. Passport and ID photos.
    We follow current UK and international guidelines for passport and ID photos. However, we cannot guarantee acceptance by all authorities where human interpretation is a factor. Responsibility for acceptance remains with the customer. Where a photo is rejected due to our error, we will offer a free replacement.
  8. Video transfer and photo restoration services
    We take great care when handling original media. However due to the fragile nature of tapes, films, discs, prints and slides we are not responsible for deterioration caused by age, poor storage, or existing damage. Customers are advised to retain a backup of original material where possible. With regard to photo restoration Island Photo Hub will make an original copy before any work is done.
  9. Camera sensor cleaning
    Sensor cleaning is performed with professional care. However, due to the delicate nature of camera equipment we are not liable for pre-existing faults, mechanical failures or hidden defects. By using this service you acknowledge and accept the associated risks.
  10. Limitation of liability
    To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for:
    Loss of data, images or files.
    Loss of profits or business
    Indirect or consequential losses
    Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid for the relevant service.
  11. Privacy and data protection
    We collect and process personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the data protection act 2018
    Customer files and images may be stored temporarily for processing and quality control and deleted after a reasonable period.
  12. Website and online use
    You agree not to:
    Misuse the website.
    Upload harmful, offensive or unlawful content.
    Attempt unauthorized access to our systems.
    We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for violations.
  13. Force Majeure
    We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, power outages, supplier failures, strikes or government actions.
  14. You agree to any disputes will be dealt with solely in the courts of England and Wales.
  15. Changes to these terms
    We reserve the right to update these terms and conditions at any time. Updated versions will be posted on our website and will apply from the date of publication.
